You'll be surprised how much it can help!. LATEST NEWS Headline: PC: Console: Olympus: Event: Important Posts:: Please view our Forum COC:: Join Our Forum Discord. Forums Get Custom Emotes/Smilies. Game will not start. I hit play, screen goes black like it's loading, then it takes me back to descktop.

When i right click on smite from the menu bar at the bottom and click Smite, it gives a dialog box that says 'This game was not properly authenticated at launch time.' With an OK button. One is enough. There are two thing you can try. The first one is:. Open Smite launcher. Go to options.

Click on Troubleshooting and Diagnostics. Click Re-run Prerequisites. Re-open Smite launcher If it's still not working, try this:. Open Smite launcher. Go to options.

Click on Troubleshooting and Diagnostics. Click Validate Repair. Re-open Smite launcher If nothing works, then you might need to reinstall the game. I'll make however many post I need to resolve this problem quickly. I'm not a full time gamer, I dont have 12+hrs a day I can game a, i have short widows (and hour maybe more) that come up once every one or two weeks depending on work. So forgive me for not wanting to sit around for what could be hours for Hirez to email me back, or someone to post a working answer to my problem. Even if it violates spam rules, I don't care, I paid money in this game for the god pack and I demand a working game.

Not to mention I spent the whole time I could have used playing trying to fix it based off of recommendations after reporting it to hirez. That ended with me uninstalling the game, re-installing the game, and downloading the patches (which took 4+ hrs) but going to sleep before the patches finished.

Don't tell me one is enough either, someone on one forum might see it and can help, but they wouldn't have seen it if it was only posted in another forum.

You need to find your config files; these should be in something like Documents My Games Smite BattleGame Config. Open up BattleSystemSettings.ini, and change every ResX and ResY to your system's resolution instead. I have tried this, tried all the diagnostics stuff, tried uninstalling and reinstalling, tried running as administrator.nothing is working. And the worst part is my game was working perfectly fine last night before the update. Now it doesn't work at all because of this issue.

I don't know what to do. Hi, I don't know if this is still an open discussion but I got this same problem after today's patch (Feb 11th 2015). I tried all of the solutions mentioned in the previous pages and nothing seemed to work. I was about to give up but checked threads on other launcher issues and found this solution: 1. Open up your antivirus/firewall program (I am using the standard issued firewall that comes with windows 8) 2.

Press on allow programs through firewall. 3.Add the following Program(s) (NOTE:- Some of these don't need to be allowed but add them anyways just in case) HiPatchSelfUpdateWindow.exe, HiPatchservice.exe, HiRezUI.exe Turns out my firewall had decided to block one of the mentioned programs, namely HiPatchservice.exe.

Once I allowed that, the game started smoothly. I hope that helps! Hi, I don't know if this is still an open discussion but I got this same problem after today's patch (Feb 11th 2015).

Yeah and after that go to services/Process Excluded inside your antivirus or windows firewall and select/mark HiPatchService.exe Find for any tabs in the configs' window that can be blocking Smite services. You can also try to unnistall every antivirus and spyware remover you have on your pc and try Smite. Serach for HiRez folder and change the permitions of all.exe to run with administrator privileges. This error used to appear 5/10 mins after I log in Ah! You should have no problem ifyou format your windows!

And dont go for 8:cool. Got a similar problem. When I run a launcher, after some delay updating crashed and fix button appeared. When I run a game directly, 'This Game was not properly authenticated at launch time' error appeared. Nothing from this thread helped. I uninstalled Hi-Rez Diagnostic and Support through Start Programs Uninstall, then run a launcher again but launcher did not appear. Instead a new installation of Hi-Rez Diagnostic and Support appeared.

After its installation it disappeared with nothing happening. After relaunching launcher and installing one more thing everything loaded successfully. Try to uninstall the Hi-Rez Diagnostic and Support application.

I'm having this precise problem and nothing seems to fix it. I've tried validating, reinstalling prerequisites, changing the resX and resY to my resolution; nothing is working. Can anyone help? The only thing I haven't done is un- and re-install the game itself. I had the same problem too. There are just so many f.king problems with this game. Anyway, I followed MountainGoat 's and HirezAustin 's instructions, and set ResX=800 ResY=600.

Then I re-launched everything and. There was a new 'HiRez-software Update' to install (Which I wasn't notified of before, even though I had clicked 'check for updates'). So it turns out the game had buttf.ked itself all along.

Now it's up and running again.:rolleyes. Hey guys thing in a bit of a logical way. The message said: the game was not probably authenticated properly at launch time or something like that. So u have a minor problem on the game server side realizing that u r the owner or this account. You might need to clear the game setting that you must re enter the username and password again.

This was authentication will take place properly and u will run the game with easy. Hope it works for you I'm just trying to break the ice down a bit:).
