After checking the details, the 'service' informed me my IP had been associated with spammers. At first I was sure it was a false positive, but then I got curious and I started investigating. Turns out Outpost shows in the internet activity an unidentified process labeled 'N/A'. Under that entry, which is not always active but goes on and off, are many subentries. All use the ICMP protocol. All are from this 'N/A' process (that cannot be stopped or identified).
I googled some of the addresses listed in the connections and I found several bad sites: -a russian spammer (triolan.net) -a tracking site (extremetracking.com) -an address associated with dictionary attacks -an address blocked by peerblock And so on, along with many addresses google had nothing on. And also, apparently an address from my ISP (fixed-203-69-2.iusacell.net) -this was the most common entry. Anyway, I upgraded my firewall, ran a full system scan with nod32, spybot and malwarebytes and found nothing. Online scans are next on my list. But still no results. Any help would be appreciated.
