I have a Launchpad that I haven't used in a while, and recently installed the Windows 10 tech preview. 10 appears to install launchpad drivers without issue, but it doesn't display the launchpad in control selections. It indicates it was found when plugged in with the windows notifications, and Device manager thinks it is operating properly, but it simply doesn't display in any selection lists.
I thought it was broken until I moved it to my Windows 8.1 laptop, but it works there. It would be a shame if I can no longer use this with Windows 10. All my other MIDI control interfaces appear in Windows 10. Anyone know of a work around for this legacy controller? It seems to use the same drivers as the Launchpad MINI of which appears to have continued support. What am I missing here. Hi jsmain, Just to confirm, when referring to the driver was installed, was this when connecting the device and Windows said it was or was this the driver downloaded from the Novation website?
The driver from the website needs to be downloaded and installed. Here is a link to download the latest: It's hard to say exactly why the device is not working but it is being used on a system that is still in development and is not the full official release version. We would expect it to work but Windows 10 is currently not supported, but there will be more info and support as it comes closer to the full release.
